Construction of Yosmite Butterfly Valve:
Our valves are constructed with a robust steel body featuring integral flanges and shaft bearing housings, adhering to ASA Standards. Available in wafer or flangeless designs, these valves are not manufactured to AWWA specifications.
  • Body: Steel body with integral flanges and shaft bearing housings, drilled per ASA Standards. Wafer or flangeless designs are available.
  • Shaft: One-piece stainless steel shaft extending through the valve disc ensures durability and reliability.
  • Disc: The steel disc is securely fastened to the shaft with body-bound bolts and locking nuts. Machined flat hubs ensure uniform pressure distribution across the seat.
  • Seat: Synthetic or natural rubber seats, vulcanized in place within the valve body, ensure a positive bubble-tight shut-off. The keystone design further enhances seat retention.
  • Bearings: Roller type bearings in the shaft housings allow smooth operation, with grease fittings for external lubrication.
  • Stuffing Boxes: Incorporated in the bearing housings, the stuffing boxes feature adjustable packing glands and flax composition packing for reliable performance.
  • Tests: Each valve undergoes stringent leakage and hydrostatic tests before shipment, ensuring top-notch quality and reliability.
Operators for Yosmite Butterfly Valve:
Manual: Equipped with worm gear reducers, handwheels, or chainwheel operators. Mechanical stops limit disc travel in open and closed positions, with position indicators for easy monitoring. Designed for future automatic operation.
Automatic: Available with Yosmite "Power Drive" motor operators or other commercial drive units. Capable of rapid opening or closing as per operational requirements.
