Its unique design features a full main opening for unrestricted flow, minimizing pressure loss and enhancing operational efficiency. The valve is equipped with hydraulic rams for powerful seat separation and water-cooled seats for high-temperature applications. A positive seal with renewable stainless steel valve seats ensures consistent, leak-proof operation in demanding conditions.
Easy to install and maintain, the valve's components are accessible and replaceable in-line. Ideal for both horizontal and vertical installations, the Blast Swing Type Valve offers superior performance, longevity, and operational flexibility.
Applications
The Yosmite Swing Goggle Valve offers a simplified, rugged design that is easy to operate and cost-effective to maintain. It provides absolute tight shut-off in blast furnaces, basic oxygen converters, open hearths, and other gas mains. Designed for vertical operation in horizontal mains, with provisions like rollers for horizontal operation in vertical mains.

  • Sizes: Available in full main sizes ranging from 30" to 120", with options for oversized flanges to fit larger gas mains.
  • Service: Maintains a tight seal under operating pressures up to 15 psi and shock pressures up to 50 psi. Designed for temperatures up to 700°F, with options for higher temperatures using specialized alloys or water cooling.
  • Lubrication: Equipped with lubrication fittings on all moving parts, with the option for a centralized lubrication system.
  • Manual Operation: Easily operated by one person: unclamp the valve using the clamping drive chainwheel, position the goggle plate with the chainwheel, and reclamp in approximately five to seven minutes.
  • Motor Operation: Utilizes Yosmite "Power Drive" motor operators for quick operation, with interlocked limit switches ensuring smooth opening and closing within forty-five seconds.
